Overall we enjoyed this set quite a bit. If someone has been a Callaway fan in the past, they will really love these. They have raised the bar on the "X" series quite a bit this year, and we noticed instantly. The set we reviewed did have graphite shafts, but this set is available in either graphite or steel. For me, nine times out of ten these x22 irons gave me great feeling. I love the X-22 because they don't hit the ball too high or too low. The trajectory in general with the mid and lower irons was always quite powerful and very penetrating. The are excellent clubs. They provide great distance and forgiveness, will work for anyone from beginner to low handicap golfers. This is what I wanted. I believe that this is also what you want!
