Titleist AP1 and AP2 712 Irons
The 712 series will include four different brands, the AP1, AP2, CB and MB lines. Here I will talk about AP1 712 and AP2 712 irons. They have been launched offering a blend of feel and forgiveness.
The new Titleist AP1 and AP2 irons have retained the previous dual cavity design and multi-material construction - a soft elastomer and aluminium plate in the back of the head has been designed to refiand Titleist ne both sound and feel. "The long irons are about the same size," said Chris McGinley, Titleist's vice president of golf club marketing. "But as you go through the set, we brought the blade size down. That lets us make the long irons more forgiving and the short irons more traditional."

"The new Titleist 712 line of AP irons represents another step forward in iron design," said Steve Pelisek, General Manager, Titleist Golf Clubs. "With the development of the first AP irons in 2007, we knew we had created something special - irons that incorporated a true blend of classic golf club aesthetics with modern playability, forgiveness and consistency. With the new 712 line we've taken this breakthrough technology to a new, game-changing level by increasing the stability and forgiveness without losing any workability or shot control."
Overall, the new Titleist AP1 and AP2 712 irons stay true to the design mission of "Advanced Performance with Feel." Both models are multi-material, dual cavity irons that provide modern ball flight and forgiveness with the traditional looks, feel and sound that serious golfers have come to expect from Titleist irons.
